Here's Pat's email RE the gig:

Pat met with Auburn Arts/GRCC folks and everything looks good for the concert. They will provide (9) chairs, (16) music stands, grand piano, AC power, sound reinforcement per your request, including rhythm section. Everything must be set up and ready for a 6:00pm MOJO sound check. We will be playing in front of the performing arts building which will act as a "shell"--should sound good. Driving access to performance site is OK for rhythm section players only, everyone else in parking lot and walk to performance site (middle of campus). The performing arts building will be our "hangout" and is for the musicians only.

Here's the schedule:

1. Quartet of Four sound check 5:30pm
2. MOJO sound check 6:00pm
3. Quartet of Four performance 6:45pm
4. MOJO performance 7:30pm

There will be a short announcement/intro in between Q of 4 and MOJO to make the transition as seamless as possible, so we might be able to start a bit before 7:30pm if all goes smoothly.

Also, I would encourage everyone to allow plenty of time to get to GRCC--time of day, traffic, etc. MOJO is the featured act and I'm told they expect a crowd of about 200-300 people.

  3. Immediately turn Left (south) on Newport.
  4. Go up Newport up a short steep hill to the first intersection.
  5. Turn left onto Grand Avenue (unmarked!).
